For April we're having just 1 slosh this month, but our slosh will have a discussion!

For Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) a Middle Way House prevention team member will be facilitating a discussion on the complexities of seeking support and finding safety in relationships when in kink and polyamorous dynamics. Discussion will be open and fluid, meaning if the group ends up expressing the desire/need to center on a certain topic, the agenda will shift to meet that need. Guiding Discussion Questions include:

In what ways do we see social structures and stigmas impacting kink and poly communities when an individual seeks support? (from “standard” relationship stressors and breakups to domestic violence/abuse and unhealthy or controlling dynamics)
How do we see intersecting identities play a role in how individuals are treated in these communities?
What barriers do we face when supporting one another? What do we need to provide support to one another when harm is done close to us in our community? As the weather warms up, keep an eye out on FetLife & our website for other events such as Sip’s & some picnic Munches!

For our discussion, slosh will run the usual time from 7pm-11pm, with the first half of slosh being relaxed (chit chat, card games, kinky coloring, & possible light casual play if folks feel inclined & check for permission first), with the discussion starting by 9pm.

On April 6th, up in Indianapolis at Studio10, our very own Cobalt will be having a fundraiser "Better In Boots - Line Dancing, Play Party, and Fundraiser Event" to compete in the International Mr. Leather competition. While not a Bloomington Kink event, Cobalt is a part of our local community and we're excited to support & cheer him on in his kinky endevours.
