Marching into kink!
For March we have 2 sloshes, a themed* Slosh, and an educational Bootblacking 101 discussion & demo.
For Bootblacking 101 on March 26th, our very own local corn-fed hometown kinkster, Cobalt, will be giving a presentation on bootblacking -- its origins and history, types of leather and considerations in cleaning, techniques and products, and giving a demo on how a shining might go.
Cobalt (bootblack, puppy, rigger, and overall man enthusiast) has been in the scene for going on two years, with a particular interest in impact, pet play, and rope bondage. His journey started in boy scouts, misappropriating knots and lashings since 2009, and was reignited in 2022 with his introduction to the concept of bootblacking.
A prospective contestant for International Mr. Leather 2024, Cobalt stands on a platform of inclusion and acceptance within the leather community. In his words, "everyone has a seat at the table," and all are welcome within the leather community, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, or any other identity expression. "It is important, now more than ever, that we stand together as a community, and as a family, to keep that strong bond which ties us all together and makes us strong when so many forces are seeking to isolate us, terrify us, and send us packing."
For our discussion demo, slosh will run the usual time from 7pm-11pm, with the first half of slosh being relaxed (chit chat, card games, kinky coloring, & possible light casual play if folks feel inclined & check for permission first), with the discussion demo starting by 9pm.

*Themed Sloshes are just like regular sloshes, but there is a theme for folks to dress up to match if they want. There is never any pressure to participate.
