Happy New Year kinksters
We hope that you had a great close to your 2023 & are off to an excellent 2024!
January is full of kinkery as we have 3 sloshes, our yearly "birthday slosh", plus the beginning of a new introduction to Rope Bondage series during a slosh.
Tonight (Jan 2nd) is a normal relaxed slosh (with chit chat, card games, kinky coloring, & possible light casual play if folks feel inclined & check for permission first).
Our slosh on the 16th will be double the fun, with our Birthday slosh, where we will have goodies & paddles available for those wanting to celebrate their birthday AND we'll be having the very first installment of our Rope Bondage Introductory series, by BlossomBae.
Rope Bondage: An Intro Conversation
Rope bondage offers a wide range of uses. It’s a tool that anyone can use to build connection between themselves and their partners, and can be as simple or as complicated as is desired.
The intention is for this to be the initial session of a series exploring various aspects of rope bondage—all from an introductory perspective, lead by BlossomBae.
What we’re touching on in this first session:
Basic Vocab—how to talk about it.
Rope Safety—who’s responsibility is it?
Communication and Consent—beginning, middle, and end.
Rope Handling—types of rope and their uses.
Body Awareness and Placement—pressure points and positions.
Building Connection—take a breath, be mindful, build trust.
Practice—self-tying as a great place to start.
Future sessions will cover things like how to tie for different body types, top practical positions, quick knots to know, how to ask for and give feedback, troubleshooting common tie issues, philosophy behind rope tying, creating the scene, rope and bottom aftercare, how neurotypes can play a part, as well as sensuality and aesthetics.
Important note: While Blossom will continue to do actual ties at other sloshes and events, these specific sessions are intended to provide a safe space for education and questions. Blossom will not be calling for live volunteers. All demos for these sessions are preplanned. If you are interested in participating in a demo, feel free to connect with Blossom during a slosh or reach out to slosh leader, Singe.
About Blossom:
I love tying people up. I love being tied up. And I especially love educating and empowering others to do the same.
I call myself an “expert learner” because, no matter where you are on your rope journey, I believe that every tie is a chance to learn something new—not just about the ropes but about ourselves and our partners.
I like to equally dive into the history, art, and current trends on this topic, as well as demo different ties and positions, give you a chance for some hands-on, practical experience, and walk away with some resource and fun new things to try.
I look forward to showing you how to explore it!
Knots of love ~Blossom
