April 2025 Newsletter & Website update

April showers and all that jazz.

For this month we have 2 sloshes AND our first Sip/Munch combo of the year!

After consulting the survery results, the most amenable day for the majority of folks is Friday, and the best time is a tie between early evening & evening. So we're gonna try that out and have our Outdoor Sip/Munch combo during Food Truck Friday at Switchyard park April 25th from 6-8pm.

We decided on trying FTF to allow folks a wider selection of food & drink options (both dietarily and cost wise), with also not having pressure or obligation to buy anything.

As Food Truck Friday is VERY family friendly vanilla public event (where there will be kids around), this will be a very casual extremely vanilla hangout/meetup. Please keep an eye on the event page on Fetlife and our Blog for detail updates for the Sip/Munch.

Bloomington Kink needs your help!

It is Bloomington Kink website renewal time (technically that was back in January, but here we are) which means this is our yearly request for help with our website.

I originally created the website in 2016 (right before the elections), because I wanted to make sure that knowledge around kink/BDSM would be accessible. And because of the website, we've been able to help countless folks with not just kink knowledge, but self empowerment through consent & bodily autonomy.

Between maintaining the website over all, the domain name, running the blog, organzing the events, and our monthly email marketing newsletters, we are looking at needing to raise $294 to cover (this does not account for my personal time, labor, or energy. this soley covers just) our financial expenses.
